In November 2011 our lives changed forever when our 10 year old son Danny was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour called Medulloblastoma grade 4.
Not only did Danny have a brain tumour, but following surgery to remove his brain tumour, Danny was left with Posterior Fossa Syndrome (PFS) which meant he was unable to communicate, move unaided, hold his head up, balance or walk. PFS was Danny’s biggest battle on a daily basis.
This is why we started The Danny Green Fund charity: to help other children who are suffering from the effects of PFS as the result of a brain tumour.
WHAT WE DO
THERAPIES
We provide funding for physiotherapy, hydrotherapy or horse riding sessions to aid recovery from Posterior Fossa Syndrome (PFS) as the result of a brain tumour.
EQUIPMENT
The Danny Green Fund can provide equipment to help with mobility and independence, such as a special needs buggy, an iPad to help hand/eye co-ordination or a piece of multi-sensory equipment to help stimulate recovery from the effects of PFS and brain tumour surgery.
RESEARCH
We are a member charity of Brain Tumour Research and have sponsored several days of research, as without research there would be no cure for this devastating disease.
HOW WE DO IT
